EVASIVE AND DEFENSIVE DRIVER TRAINING COURSE
The Globe Risk team is internationally recognized for developing realistic and functional training programs based on proven tactics and techniques.
Globe Risk offers two entry-level courses for Evasive /Defensive Driving.
The first course is Basic Driver Training (BDT) and is conducted in one day.
The second course is Evasive Driving Training (EDT), and is conducted over two days. These two courses form Globe Risks' Evasive and Defensive Driving course for the security professional. The course focuses on skills necessary to operate an automobile to evade a terrorist or criminal attack. Ideal for security professionals who already have surveillance detection training or individuals who want to protect themselves from random criminal attacks such as carjacking.
Our Evasive/Defensive Driving course has been adopted from Special Forces counter terrorist training. The course has been utilized and proven to be the best risk control tool when dealing with vehicle attack.
Course Content:
- High-speed driving techniques
- Forward and reverse ramming
- Situational excerise simulating realistic vehicular attacks
- Evasive Maneuvers - forward 180 degree turns (bootlegs), and reverse 180 degree turns (J-turns)
- Defensive Line - contact exercises where students prevent their automobile from being run off the road and or stopped.
Basic Driver Training (BDT) is the cornerstone of the Globe Risk driver-training program. It is the foundation by which all Globe Risk courses are built upon and a stand-alone course. This one day course teaches the student how to be a better, more confident driver. The laws of Vehicle Dynamics will determine how and why a vehicle reacts in a specific manner when in motion. These factors and the driver's interrelationship with them are practiced in a progressive series of exercises. Students are encouraged to push themselves to find the limits of their abilities while in a safe environment.
Evasive Driving Training
Evasive Driving Training (EDT), a one day course, will individuals who may come under attack while operating a motor vehicle. Whether the attack is an attempted kidnapping, carjacking, or terrorist assassination, the response is the same, remove yourself from the situation as quickly as possible. Globe Risk will train the driver to use their vehicle as a weapon or as a means of escape, in the pursuit of survival.
The student will learn what a vehicle is capable of and what they as an operator are capable of. You will learn the difficulty in stopping a moving vehicle and will participate in exercises involving other who will try to run the driver off the road. The driver will be taught evasive maneuvers such as forward and reverse spins and ramming.
SYNOPSIS:
Globe Risk emphasizes the importance of being mentally prepared to react correctly. The training is conducted in a dynamic and progressive environment brought together through realistic situational exercises where the student comes under different types of attacK and is challenged to react appropriately.
